Can't hold back the tears

I have this thing where if I get told off by anyone in a position of power over me (a manager at work etc) I can't help but well up. I'm not hurt, I fully understand if I messed up, the tears just start coming. Being a 24 year old man in business this can be incredibly embarrassing.
My question is, does anyone else get this? If you have, can you give me any tips or help in how I can stop this?
