Should I spend my savings on a cheap RV/van or a room for a couple months?
Post Body

I'm on unemployment until the end of December. I was living in California but had to come back to Georgia to stay with my parents after my ex broke my ribs.

Anyway, I plan on going back after Thanksgiving. I should have about $2000 saved up by then, and I will have another 3 weeks of $350/week in unemployment.

I have a non-profit in LA but it doesn't make any money, so I will be looking for a "real job" asap. I have been homeless before, but I'd rather not be in the winter. But if I had a van or RV, I wouldn't have to worry about that. Unfortunately, buying one and driving it out there would be quite a bit more expensive than renting a room for a couple months.

If I don't get a job by the time my money runs out, I'll be able to busk or do odd IT jobs for food/gas money, but I doubt I'd make enough to pay for food AND rent.

What do you think?
