Anyone know of healthy vs. unhealthy coping skills? So I have a couple of unhealthy coping skills I’d like to get rid of. For example. Mindlessly scrolling through social media (ahem. reddit and facebook), binge-watching television shows, and addictive shopping are my giant 3. I feel ugly that I have these. And it’s sad. Because I justify all of these u.c.s’s as time I enjoy spending is not wasted time. I see these unhealthy coping skills as taking care of myself, or self-care. I interpret self-care as soul-care. But these are unhealthy behaviors. What are some suggestions you might have for me to fight these unhealthy coping skills and to switch these from unhealthy to healthy.
