Regional differences on Switch version?

So as the impatient european i am. I bought Necrodancer on the japanese eshop as soon as it was available (so like 3 hours before they even announced the american and european release dates). The game boots up in english just fine and all. But for some reason the european and american eshop still thinks i don't own necrodancer on my Switch. Usually when you have bought a game on the Switch eshop in any region it will say "purchased" in the other regions eshop. Anyone know what might be the cause of this?
