Does anyone happen to know what kind of relationship NS has as far as editors go?
I have read all of Neal’s books, most of them more than once and enjoyed almost all of them..but in my head I am always editing his books. I never do that with any other writer.
There is no way an editor went through most of his works and were like…yeah we are keeping all of it.
I feel like Neal’s hate for brevity of any kind has kept him in the category of a great author for a niche audience as opposed to a widely accepted genius who has written some of the most important fiction in the last four decades.
