Need help identifying cable
Post Body

So I recently moved into a 1970s era duplex, neither my home or my neighbour's has a phone socket. Obviously given the age of the place I find this strange, but the place has been thoroughly renovated.

Found this cable and markings on the baseboard tonight. Wondering if it might be the former phone line? Size of missing paint seems to match a 600 series connector. Internal cables are exceedingly small (and hard to photograph), but also red, white and blue.

If you’re handy it’s easy enough to do. If you’re in Adelaide I’m happy to come and sort it for ya

FTTN has nothing to do with what’s on the premises. You’ll either have a Two-pair, coax, or fibre. If that’s the line coming from the NTD then that’s easy to re terminate into a current phone socket. They’re generally cut because they’re redundant though. Do you have any other points in your house or is this it?
