My weight is really out of control right now. I'll be blunt, I'm 5'7" (170 cm) and around 250 lbs, which is almost morbidly obese according to the BMI scale. I have never been this heavy and I definitely don't want to gain anymore weight or even stay this weight for long. Last year i was around 180 lbs so thats a 70 year weight gain which is massive!
I've started to exercise to help me lose some weight and I want to eat more high protein and fiber to increase fullness and satisfaction. I want the process to be a bit more gradual then just doing a crash diet with hyper intense exercises for a few months, even though I need to lose weight ASAP.
My current goal is to lose 50 lbs, which I'd still be overweight but I want to see where my body is before I switch to like muscle growth and nbe only. But I was wondering if it's smarter for me to lose like 75 or even 100 lbs then maybe regain 10 -20 lbs back very gradually for a more curvy figure? My body goals is basically to be thick/stacked and I don't think I ever want to be thin or what's considered the "average" size/weight for women my height but this is a massive health risk so I need to lose prioritize losing weight and inches off my waist.
I was wondering if continuing my routine is wise in my current predicament. My daily routine is 1000 mg of PM in a single capsule, 5 g (1 tsp) of Red Maca Root Powder and 5 g (1 tsp) of Maca Powder (assuming yellow but it doesn't specify). I I put the Maca root powder in oatmeal or smoothies with 1 tbsp of chia seeds, which is supposed to help with thickness. Do you think this might have contributed in my weight gain?
I was feeling a lot heavier in my breasts, stomach and thighs after this routine, my ass feels a bit more pillowy, so it seems like it but until recently, I was completely sedentary and I used to do quite a bit of Doordash/UberEats.
TL; DR: Basically is it possible to lose weight and do nbe as an obese person? Should I continue my current routine? Should I even entertain regain some weight after losing a massive amount of weight for a more curvy/thick body? Should I just lose the weight then resume nbe once I'm thinner and healthier?
