Steph Curry is such a great shooter that we all collectively shake our heads in disbelief when he misses a free throw, which is what makes this season and these playoffs so surprising.
We all know his shooting "struggles" this past regular season, although most any guard in the league would still kill to shoot as well as he did, but it's still a little concerning, especially after seeing these playoffs. He shot 38% from 3 on 13 attempts a game in the regular season, by far a career low, but right now, as of halftime of Game 1 of the WCF, Steph is also having his worst 3pt shooting percentage in his playoff career at 36% AND he's uncharacteristically missing a lot of free throws. As of now, he's 65/82 from the line, right around 79% which is still solid, but very surprising from the all time career free throw percentage leader. He still shot amazing from the line during the regular season, but the concern is still there a bit.
So what's the deal? Is it age? Have defenses finally found some way to lessen his impact? Is it just a prolonged slump? What's going on with Steph's usually flawless shot?
