Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball have both gone down with extensive injuries lately and that has opened up some meaningful minutes for other Chicago backcourt players, specifically Ayo Dosunmu who has stepped in to the role of primary playmaker and has actually done very well for himself. Over his last 13 games Ayo's numbers look like this:
12.4 PPG
7.2 APG
1.8 TPG
1.2 SPG
8.5 rTS
38 MPG
The downside to this is that Chicago is 6-7 over this span, so they really do need those 2 guys back soon, but Ayo has really outplayed his draft stock at least and is showing flashes of elite play especially in this expanded role.
What do y'all think is Ayo's ceiling in the league?
