Led by the winningest coach in NBA history Don Nelson and spearheaded by 2x Defensive Player of the Year Sidney Moncrief, Milwaukee from the 1979-80 season to the 1985-86 season compiled 7 consecutive 2nd place finishes in the Eastern conference, averaging 54.4 wins per season along the way. They had some so-so years on offense mostly because they tended to be on the average to below average side when it comes to pace, but were overall always a threat to make it out of the East, but unfortunately for them, Bird's Celtics and Dr J's 76ers were the real East powerhouses of the time. They were always above average to elite on defense however, and Sidney Moncrief should get mentioned more as a defensive monster and overall great player.

Where do you guys stand on this? Is there a franchise run that you think is more underrated that's just as impressive as this one? I just thought of this one off the top of my head so I'm sure there are more like it.
