Who are the players who came into the league with below-average to bad shot creation and handles, and developed them while in the league to become good to great players, like Jaylen Brown?
Post Body

I saw this post on /r/NBA that shows JB's development as a three-level scorer. Of course, only 25-30% of his shots come from his own creation/off the dribble, according to the post, but its still a massive improvement from when he first came into the league. Brown used to dribble with his head looking at the floor, cause his handles were so bad. If you told me 3 years ago Brown would be a 25PPG 60%TS scorer, I wouldn't believe you. This is in contrast to players like Tatum. Even though Tatum was an inefficient rookie and sophomore, there were already instances of good handling and shot creation, there was already something to work with. He already had potential. And now Tatum is a 22 year old 27PPG scorer who gets his points 50-60% off the dribble or off ISOs. A future perennial top 5 guy

As a big RJ Barrett fan, I've stated many times that JB should be one of the players he should emulate. First, tighten up his handles. This will eventually open up his arsenal for more dribble moves and allow for more open looks, thus leading to improved shot creation.

Shot creation/Handles is what will make or break players like RJ Barrett, it's what will separate him from Andrew Wiggins, and what will allow him to be a great 25PPG scorer. (He's at 18/6/3 right now.) We can see he's already a good shooter. His first 12 games were absolutely horrendous, but this was due to him literally hiring a skills coach and changing his shot in the off-season. Since those 12 games, he's at 57%TS, 40% from three. But most of these shots are from spot ups or off screens. There is a lot of room for improvement in shot creation and handling. Fortunately, RJ and Drew Hanlen know this, and have been outspoken about working this facet this offseason.

I just want to know though, who are the other players who developed decent shot creation and handling while seemingly entering the league with close to nothing on these skills? How was Jimmy Butler as a young guy? I never got to watch much Bulls games during his developmental years.
