Interviewer: Have you been in contact with Delonte West? How is he doing?
Cuban: I have been. He's gotta want to help himself first. I've tried. I know it's tough on him but I wish him nothing but the best.
Interviewer: Is it the same? Any better?
Cuban: No. It's a struggle for him. Addiction is awful, mental illness is awful, but he's at a point in his life where he's gotta wanna be helped."
Sad to hear this. Back in September 2020 Cuban personally picked up Delonte at a gas station, got him housing, sent him to rehab in Florida and then got him a job at that rehab center. Earlier this year though Delonte was seen for days wandering around aimlessly and panhandling on Richmond Highway in Virginia begging for money. A Richmond YouTuber encountered Delonte loitering outside a 7 Eleven and he told him that he was homeless and sleeping at a laundromat. Most recently we'd heard that he got himself a flooring job, but according to Cuban's latest update it looks like he's back on the streets again.
EDIT: According to u/scoedapro's comment and the photo he posted of them together Delonte is indeed back on the streets of Virginia loitering and panhandling.
