I'm watching the past 11 years of dunk contests.

Rules: I don't remember a lot of winners, I am enjoying my day off with dunks. I haven't watched them in forever. After every dunk, I will pause the video and give my score. Then I'll watch the real score and so on. I don't score missed dunks, because I think it'll show bias.

Judges: Darryl Dawkins, Dominque Wilkins, Karl Malone, Julius Erving, Magic Johnson (with a headset talking to Barkley/Kenny/Ernie.

Here we go!

Contestants:

Jamario Moon

Rudy Gay

Dwight Howard

Gerald Green

FIRST ROUND:

Jamario Moon lobs it to himself off the ground, catches it with one hand and flushes it down easy.

My take: Solid 9, a bit simple, but the flawless execution deserves a 9.

Score: 46

Rudy Gay: Does a sort of windmill clutch dunk. Would be awesome in a game, not "Dunk contest material" in my mind.

My take: 7

Score: 37 (2 8's and 3 7's)

Dwight Howard:

Starts behind backboard, throws it off the backboard, catches it and reaches around and slams it in. Most of his body was behind the hoop still.

My take: 9. Good dunk! Best yet, but didn't scream 10 to me

Actual score: 50. Shoot, my bad.

Note: Kobe is shown. I'm sad.

Gerald Green:

There's a cupcake...what? And a ladder...Rashard McCants is climbing and setting it on the back of the rim. No way..he's gonna blow out the candle as he dunks? Won't his arms blow it out with the movement? McCants bounces it, Gerald Green dunks it two hand flush. HE BLEW IT OUT?!

Score: 9. Dunk wasn't impressive, but goddammit that was fun.

Actual score: 46

SECOND DUNK:

Rudy Gay: with Kyle Lowry as a Grizzly Jersey.

Lowry lobs off the side of the basket stand, Gay catches it and windmills it home.

Score: 8. Dwight Howard was better, not creative.

Actual Score: 48 (final score 85)

Jamario Moon: With a piece of tape past the free throw line. With his friend Jason Kapono. Maybe a foot before the free throw line.

Moon is going back the whole court. Kapono is throwing it up to him. First try he stepped on the free throw line. Ball bounced into the hoop lol.

He dunks it the second time: foot inside the free throw line.

My score: 8. He didn't hit his mark.

Actual score: 44. Total 90.

Gerald Green:

Ladder again. McCants back. Sitting on top the ladder with the ball. Holding ball next to the rim. Catches it and windmill. Nothing special for the dunk. His head was above the rim.

My score: 8

Actual score: 45. Final 90

Dwight Howard: with Jameer Nelson.

Piece of tape right after free throw line. And Howard has a Superman shirt and a cape. Lol what?!

He dunked it easily. Way up high. He threw it in and didn't touch the rim.

Score: 10. Ridiculous. Don't know if it's a dunk, but whatever. He gets the 10.

Actual score: 50. Total 100

Finals:

Green vs Howard: fan vote?

Green first: McCants again.

McCants throwing it over the board, keeps missing...

Green misses the first one. Catches the second one, dunks it between his legs, impressive.

My score: 9. I want something special in the finals.

No knowledge of actual score since it is fans.

Dwight Howard:

Catch off the ground bounce, smacks it with one hand off the backboard, other hand catches it and slams it.

My score: 10. I liked that more than Superman dunk. That dunk was silly. Come on now...

Gerald Green signing shoes. 2nd dunk.

No shoes.

Between the legs again...

Score: 7. Come on. We've seen two other between the legs. I don't care with the shoes. Same dunk.

Howard last dunk:

Has a small hoop. Like a hoop you put on your door in your bedroom. Puts it right next to the actual hoop, sticks it on. Puts the ball in the small hoop and waits.

First one misses, they reset the ball.

Second one dunks it in after a windmill.

It's over.

My score: 9.

My prediction: Howard has to win. I scored Dwight 19 and Green 16.

Final winner: Howard.
