I was thinking of a new rule where players can contest a call and force the Referee to review the play and can reevaluate the play. Where they would only be allowed like 1-2 calls. If they contest the call and it's not a valid reason they could be punished something like free throws or a possession. Wouldn't it relieve the stress from players to refs where they don't have to yell at them and rip the refs head off. The other night James Harden got finessed by the wrong call on Lou Williams and prevented the other guy from fouling out and the entire game went south from that single wrong call and it wasn't late enough in the game to review it. This is just an example. I can see it being abused to get extra rest. I was thinking if it came down to that. The refs could over rule the player and no review will be used and then the player loses 1 review challenge. That way it can't be abused as easy. Just thoughts.
