The most recent game before this one was on January 6, 2016 (over 8 years ago), when the Denver Nuggets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 78-74 at Minnesota. The game featured 2 rookie centers, one future All NBA member (Karl-Anthony Towns) and one future champion and all time great (Nikola Jokic), but at the time were both on horrible teams.
When that game happened, Steph Curry was in the midst of his Tour de Force unanimous MVP season, Kobe was halfway through his farewell tour, and the greatest Slam Dunk contest of all time had not taken place yet.
This is the 2nd post that I have made recently about a low scoring game, I posted about the most recent game where both teams failed to score 90 points after the Clippers-Wolves game last week. Does this mean it's only a matter of time until we see a game where both teams fail to score 70?...
