MMN1 here. Iām about to go on terminal leave. Iāve heard from several sources that taking more than 30 days of leave of any kind can result in the loss of BAH. I knew this to be true in regard to special pays (i.e. nuke pro-pay), however Iām not sure if there is any truth to the former. I have scoured MyNavyHR and spoken to My Navy Career Center, and the search was fruitless. The only thing I found that was close to being relevant was MILPERSMAN 7220-320. It states āMembers on authorized leave or liberty, while in an active duty status, are entitled to full pay and allowancesā (with the exception of a few criteria that do not apply to me). Iād really like to take all 45 days I have on my remaining leave balance all at once, but if Iām going to lose BAH because of this, Iād like to know ahead of time so that I can take some regular leave, come back to work for a day, and then be on my way for good. Any help and or resources is greatly appreciated.
