Loss of BAH while on terminal leave in excess of 30 days?

Post Body

MMN1 here. Iā€™m about to go on terminal leave. Iā€™ve heard from several sources that taking more than 30 days of leave of any kind can result in the loss of BAH. I knew this to be true in regard to special pays (i.e. nuke pro-pay), however Iā€™m not sure if there is any truth to the former. I have scoured MyNavyHR and spoken to My Navy Career Center, and the search was fruitless. The only thing I found that was close to being relevant was MILPERSMAN 7220-320. It states ā€œMembers on authorized leave or liberty, while in an active duty status, are entitled to full pay and allowancesā€ (with the exception of a few criteria that do not apply to me). Iā€™d really like to take all 45 days I have on my remaining leave balance all at once, but if Iā€™m going to lose BAH because of this, Iā€™d like to know ahead of time so that I can take some regular leave, come back to work for a day, and then be on my way for good. Any help and or resources is greatly appreciated.
