Quick general navy question
Post Body

"When you enlist, you agree to spend a certain portion of your enlistment on active duty and the remainder as a reserve. The minimum length of your active duty time depends on the job you seek. Most enlisted positions require four years of active duty." -- SO you HAVE to go into reserves when you're no longer active duty aka when your contract is up and you no longer wish to re-enlist?

Also, what is the age limit to remain active for an enlisted sailor (non-officer)? i.e. can you be 70 and still active duty enlisted on a boat?

Comments

Inactive reserves just means if the navy needs people you are on a list to be called back but it will never happen. Also if our enlist after first enlistment your new active time takes o we the inactive reserve time
