Good morning everyone, I need clarification on temporary lodging expenses (TLE) for a PCS move. I am a reservist being ordered to active duty. I have received my official PCS orders with a start date of 01-APR-2024. Due to several factors, I have to drive to Millington, TN rather than fly, and I have not yet secured housing in the Millington area. I was told by the Navy Reserve Center that I can check into temporary lodging (hotel) prior to the start date of my orders as long as it is conjunction with the PCS orders and reservation does not exceed 14 days. I just need confirmation that this is correct and that I will be able to use my GTCC for this temporary lodging prior to the start date of my PCS orders (checking in on 29-MAR and checking out on 12-APR) and will be able to make a reimbursement claim upon arrival to my command. I understand that without dependents, I am only entitled to 65% of the lodging per diem rate. Thank you!!
