So, I guess i start off with the facts. I am coming up on my first year in the navy, Joined in Nov of 2022. I was in GM A school for 3 months then from there my first command. The biggest question i have for anyone who can spare there own time. Does it get better?
Dont get me wrong. I love being a GM. I enjoy working on weapon systems, 25mm, 50. Cal and so on.

The problems iv been having though is, Chain of command and lack of manning. There are only 3 Gms on my ship who are in my div. Due to one reason or another, i am now Duty guns and trying my best to not get too stressed or worry about anything. Except i have my Chief and Others in chain of command pressing so much onto me. Iv been at this command less then 6 months. I feel as if every time i do something its never good enough for anyone in my chain. On several instances im up at 5:30 for mag temps and not getting to rest till 22-23. When i brought up how stressed iv been getting my chain said i need better "time management" and to "Suck it up we are all going through things". They argue that our div spends to much time playing games or other off work activities, When i put my case out that i havent touched my laptop or any games since we went on deployment they just call BS and push me to the side.

I still have 3 years at this command. Does it get better? I have a few friends on this ship i talk to for a few moments here and there when i am not running around. Ether working on maintenance or PQS's after working hours.
What is some advice you sailors who have much more experience recommend, i have reached out to Chaps on board. But Just talking to him doesnt feel like its helping and i know im in a weird position where if i say something to someone they might remove me from the Armory..
