Speaking from experience at my first command I struggled VERY hard at first but by the end I felt like a rock star and remember getting amazing evals for my job knowledge and technical proficiency. That was not the case when I first arrived to the same command. I honestly felt like I had something wrong with me. Like I simply couldn't wrap my head around my job and the platform I deployed on. Thankfully everything worked out in the end but if you PCSed while you knew me in the first year it wasn't pretty but by the end you'd think I was a rock star.
Fast forward to my next command and I was equally as confused over how to do my job but now held a higher rank and expected to know certain things.
I honestly strugglled for about 8 months before finally getting it but has this ever happened to you where people perceive you negatively or positively at your last command and you turn it around (or make it worse) at your next command.
