Looking at the 100:1 ratio of M4F vs F4M posts (not a scientific analysis but who's actually going to count?) leaves one with the expectation to get lost in the crowd. Therefore, use a title that will hopefully catch the attention of like-minded folks. So what do I mean by cognitive dissonance? Someone who is not afraid to have their worldview shaken and willing to question beliefs and expectations. One who believes we are better when we don't surround ourselves with sameness, but instead seek out diverse experiences and ideas. One who has a visceral negative reaction to the phrase "But that's how its always been."
Who am I? Reasonably intellectual but don't care to be the smartest person in the room. I love to read and learn, not much for small talk but can carry a conversation with someone when discussing an actual topic of interest. Once I know you, I tend to be playful and enjoy good banter. Not much of a drinker or recreational drug user but my personal philosophy is legalize everything and hold people accountable for their actions, not your fears.
I enjoy cooking but am not much for recipes. I tend to be the type who looks at what ingredients are available and whips something together. Enjoy playing pool, totally addicted to going out to the movies (not just watching at home), and love to travel... all things that haven't happened in the last 9-10 months but hopefully will in the future. Rocking the (sexy???) dadbod look with short hair that's more silver than dark brown now, close-cropped goatee, and hazel eyes that often twinkle with amusement at the sheer ridiculousness of the world. Sometimes reflective, occasionally naughty, but always trying to be kind and compassionate because you never know what someone else is dealing with.
