In case you haven't discovered this on your own yet, it's 100% ok to be picky about who you are looking for. Why waste our time? Sure, we're all here for just about the same reason, but what we're looking for can be drastically different. What am I looking for? I'll lay out some of the basics:

  • someone in the SW Ohio area (I've done long distance before and would rather not do it again) and is going to be open to meeting in person eventually

    • someone looking to make a genuine connection. Not a fling that lasts a week or months. Something long term and meaningful.
    • someone who has hobbies, interests, and things they are passionate about (soccer fans to the front of the line please, haha)
    • someone that can carry on a conversation...it is wild how few people can actually do this...
    • someone who understands that family time comes first and will not lose their cool when I can't talk every single evening because I get busy sometimes. I'm not going to ghost you, but there will be times when I can't chat and will let you know
    • someone who is not looking to change their situation... because I certainly am not looking to do that

There's my list. Not too crazy, but it's proven pretty difficult to find someone that checks even some of those boxes.

As for me, here are some of the highlights:

  • I'm 36, 5'8", average/athletic body type
  • brown hair, brown eyes (I've been told I have very kind eyes)
  • I pretty much only watch soccer and hockey
  • I like to bike, read, listen to podcasts and I dabble in woodworking
  • Ideally, I'm looking for something long term and meaningful, not something that just fizzles out after a week
