so to get it out of the way I'm already in aviation, and recently I had a couple of my NCOs tell me that I should go warrant, but frankly my confidence is pretty shit and I'm concerned I would straight up fail either at the board, WOCS, or at flight school.
But since these NCOs have been in for close to 20, should I trust their judgement on me even trying for it? Because it's one thing if someone says, oh go for it you'll make so much money and we need pilots asap, compared to if they want me to go because they want me to contribute in a more high stakes role?
and now the actual real questions. Would I be able to switch over to active duty if I wanted to after I finally finish my degree? And I know WOCS is only 5 weeks, but after that I would have to probably wait a long time before the state gets enough to actually send me to flight school. During that time do I perform my normal duties as a mechanic during drills? Work on admin or etc?
I would be asking leadership in my unit but I have a month and a half to get some questions together to actually ask them and I'd rather have some information to ask the real questions that they'd be surprised I'm asking rather than just the most basic of the basic. If that makes sense
