Moving 8 hours away but don't wanna change units
Post Body

Here's the same question that I haven't seen many comments for that actually would answer my question. Since my unit does actually deploy and does extra stuff state side, what are the chances I can get assistance to fly or have gas money to drive 8 hours up? I wouldn't be too concerned if I had to pay my own way since I treat my time there honestly as a little escape from reality (I actually love my job and the guys there). But do units ever pay out of pocket for individuals outside of 3 hours away? Or can I get orders saying that I have to have time to drive up there a day prior? My job I currently have pays for me to go already and I'll be transferring to work at a different store. If nobody can answer that's fine, I'll be at another drill this Saturday just looking for other people's experiences with the guard doing something like this
