Why are we even considering the xm250? And opinions on the fightlight mcr

Post Body

As a saw gunner in a light reconnaissance unit I would say I'd rather have something like the fightlight mcr which is something like 8lbs lighter than the the m249 and 5 lighter than the xm250. plus it has m4 controls because it's a m4 compatible upper receiver with a quick change barrel and the only reason it didn't get selected( to my knowledge) by the marines for automatic rifleman trials they did was because it had belt fed capabilities, also another plus for the mcr is it's a closed bolt so it can be chambered on safe which also means it's inherently more reliable than the open bolt m249 and xm250 plus the hybrid bolt allows for less mag eating which the m249 is well known for. Also if there are any Armors that could help me figure out how to get these(fightlight mcr)ordered for my unit?
