Seriously. I've been promised promotions, pay raises, etc etc over the last 3 years, having to swap from job to job, only to be screwed over more and I'm so incredibly sick of it.

Walmart? Great place, loved it. But was in an area I couldn't afford so when they hung a promotion in front of my face for 3 months I eventually had to leave because rent got too expensive.

My current job? I overlooked it until now because I loved the guys there and I'm about to leave so I'm starting to see clearly, but. No paid sick leave, no PTO. PERIOD. Full time availability for usually part time hours, constant pain in my body over the last 3 months.

Yes yes, woe is me. Why didn't you do this or this? Since I got selected for warrant I've been just holding on and saving, not trying to go into another job that will have more issues and bull for me to only leave in a couple months and be the "new guy" again. Yes, it's stupid. I understand it's stupid. But holy hell dude. I have a literal countdown timer for when I never have to work here again and I have a good paying job that I actually enjoy.

On a more uplifting note, I'll never forget what the guard gave me when I was at my lowest point in life and got me to a place where I'm actually going onto fulfill a childhood dream and the fact that I'm at this point I can actually break down crying with how I thought my life was going to go 5 years ago. I'll never forget any of the guys I met and have had an impact on me as a soldier since I've been in and some of you who get on my damn nerves but still, we all work hard to keep our respective missions going and I love you guys.

Now can I please get a frosty and a small fry please? And an extra frosty to soothe my sunburn.
