What was the point of Pablo in Narcos: Mexico

Post Body

I mean, given that in later episodes Felix started whinging about how the Cali Cartel were dragging ass on paying him, and basically every reference to Columbia in later episodes is in reference to Cali, what was the point of Pablo appearing, especially since during that particular scene he convinced Felix to accept 50% of Pablo's shipments?

I just found the whole thing to be pretty confusing and assumed the reason Escobar was included was to garner viewers? Like, there are so many questions:

- Are we to assume that Pablo was also delaying paying Felix as well?

- Why did Felix not mention this, and why did he only take up the money issue with Cali?

I just don't understand what the point of it was, given the story went in a completely different direction after that?

Can someone fill me in?
