Tonight I broke up with my partner in the most nasty way possible: we're from the same frat (studentenvereniging in case you're Dutch or Belgian) and she asked me to talk. One of my frat friends was in the room with her. Suddenly she started screaming and when I said I didn't want to talk because I was drunk and def not in a good mood, she grabbed my arm.

It wasn't the fact that she grabbed me (like my Nmom always did, which is still traumatic for me), but the look in her eyes. That look was exactly the look my Nmom used to have before she would hit me.

It terrified me. I have dated, again, someone who acts and looks like my Nmom and I freaking hate it.

I'm so upset. Did anyone have a similar experience?
