I liked Nancy’s skirt & high heels outfit for the silhouette. I don’t think changing it has made her any more of a feminist icon, it just made her less feminine. I loved how feminine she was! I always thought Nancy showed that you can sleuth around, fearlessly outsmarting everyone, and never sacrifice your femininity. Does anyone know the idea behind changing it?
edit: Wow, thank you all for the thoughtful discourse! I know femininity is a construct but I personally feel most feminine when I'm wearing a skirt and heels. Thank you for the spectrum of viewpoints, I am happy to learn from all of you!

That's what I think. They didn't give her a new pants silhouette. It looks like she's either wearing leggings or she's naked.
