Hey so I had a really weird encounter at the water front Friday night and I am wondering if this is happening to other people.
I have a pretty busy schedule with work and to unwind I take a walk around the water front when I can since I don't drink/party. It used to be peaceful and I really enjoyed it but I'm thinking of switching my walking spot.
I was walking past the Frank Ney statue when I noticed a m/f couple walking pretty close behind me. I assumed they were in a rush and wanted to pass so I stepped out of the way and they stopped as well super close to me. They looked in pretty rough shape so I took a couple steps away to show them I wasn't in the way and they approached me again. At this point I thought I was going to get mugged, asked for money or smokes. Instead the guy aggressively asks me for cash to have a 3 way with him and his lady friend. As a guy I'm all about a fun time but never like this...ever. I politely and firmly declined and turned to walk away and the guy grabbed my shoulder. He said he also had side (meth?) and I could buy some off him at a discount if I was down to pay for a 3 way with him and his lady friend. During this entire interaction the lady beside him didn't say a word and couldn't make eye contact with me. I felt really bad for her and wanted to kick this guy's ass but didn't want to end up getting stabbed or something.
I ended up having to shove him and telling him to F off and his lady grabbed his arm and pulled him away. He started cussing at me as I walked in the other direction.
I decided to walk back to my car as this situation had me weirded out and noticed him following me by himself. As I approached my car I saw his lady friend running up to me. She then tells me that this guy wants to talk to me and promised that I'd have a good time making her "airtight."
I told her to F of and she got frightened and walked away pretty fast.
Has this happened to anyone else? Like what the heck is going on?! This is infuriating yet really sad.
On a side note, does anyone know a good walking spot where this would never happen again?
