Thoughts on foreign surname?

Looking for some advice. I'm planning on changing my full name but having difficulty with a last name. (I'm a 34 year old woman, if that helps.) I never liked my last name, not to mention it's named the same as a big company, and I considered taking my mum's maiden name as a way to honour her - she passed away years ago. The problem is, she had a Polish surname, and I'm British. Would it be weird, or somehow disrespectful? I'm open to maybe having a Polish middle name instead.

I would also love your opinions on a first name of Cora!
