Reconsidering son's name...

Post Body

So my son is due next week and I'm starting to have mixed feelings about the name we picked out. Our original plan was Oliver Atlas (Father's surname) (Mother's Surname).

I've lived the name Oliver for quite some time, but ever since we picked it, I've seen/met Oliver's EVERYWHERE. We decided on the name as a tribute to a deceased family member who went by Ollie, and I would like for that nickname to stick, so I'm thinking of having Oliver be a middle name.

That said, Atlas Oliver doesn't sound good to me, so I'm not sure where to go with a different first name. We would prefer something not super out there but not AS common as Oliver, mythology or astronomy inspired names are fine. Nothing ending in -er.

Before settling in Oliver, we tossed around: Langley, Wesley, Elliot, and Tristan
