Our daughter is Annika. We fully anticipated people not pronouncing it as intended (like Monica), and saying Anne-ika. We did not account for 95% of people seeing it for true first time and pronouncing it Uh-knee-kuh.
Scandinavians, how did you pronounce it? We named her after golfee Annika Sorenstam and Pippi's best friend.
