I just got an N64! Question inside.

So i got an n64, and I'm pretty happy with it. It sometimes takes a few tries to turn on, but it usually eventually will. So heres the question, is the n64, expansion pak, 3 remotes, 3 memory cards, and 8 games (starfox 64, quake, Star Wars episode 1 racer, wrestlemania 2000, w no mercy, 1080° snowboarding, tony hawks pro skater 2, and madden 99) worth the $50 (USD) I paid for it?

Whether it was or isnt, I'm still happy with it, I just wanna know how that stacks up

edit: one more question. When i turn it on, the screen will turn a color, then flash between it and black, how do i avoid this?
