I really only use reddit for asking questions anymore but I hope that this can be an interesting topic regardless. So I write for myself on occasion and lately my current writing passion project is a mansion in the woods where a bunch of creatures from mythology and folklore from all over the world live together. I thought it would be nice to have some creature connected either to bringing omens of death or directly guides souls to the afterlife. I do have a dullahan. However when writing her backstory I had a bunch of ideas. One thing led to another. And she became more of an "ex vengeful spirit." I should also note I'm not always doing these 1:1 with the mythology. Occasionally adapting some aspects to be better suited for the setting. But I do still want to keep the cores of the creatures alive. Anyway. I'm rambling a lot for a very simple question. Can you all assist me?
Isn't it fascinating how mythology intertwines with the human experience?
