Edit: More gold! Thanks so much! You guys are incredible. Seriously though.. After you're done reading this thread head over to /r/bestof, WE'RE MAKING REDDIT HISTORY! I also now have Better Ponymotes, which is making this experience even more interesting
GUYS!
I have taken the first step in introducing more of these subreddit exchanges with a new sub! PLEASE sub to it, feel free to create a few threads discussing the success of this crossover and spread the word! /r/SubSwap Thanks so much again guys!
Edit 2: I have joined with /u/PavementBlues to form an alliance, creating /r/SubSwap, if you're interested in potential future crossovers then this is the sub to go to! Thanks everyone for your compliance
Sidenote: Jabroni is a word often used by pro wrestler, The Rock, who I'm sure you are all familiar with already ..ANYWAYS!
Dear Princess Celestia, ((Am I doing this right?))
This truly has been a crazy day, with what started out as a dare, I have began to familiarise myself with /r/mylittlepony, bringing numerous members of /r/squaredcircle along with me.
Potentially the greatest thing I've learned about this intertwining is how similar MLP and pro wrestling are (bare with me). To a person who isn't a fan, both things do sometime appear slightly alien, I've met countless people who shame pro wrestling for being "fake/scripted", and it's stupid, because of course it's scripted, it's fiction, it's storytelling. The same thing can be said for My Little Pony, remember, this started out as a dare because somebody saw myself and other members of /r/squaredcircle joining /r/mylittlepony as a forfeit, in retrospect they couldn't have been anymore wrong.
Much like professional wrestling and MLP, this sub is packed full of vibrant, colourful characters, I seriously have never been in welcomed so joyfully in a community before, you really are all incredibly nice people, and it's refreshing, so I thank you all for that. I'd also like to thank the person that gave me gold yesterday, as it was my first time receiving that, thanks!
After familiarising myself with all of the emotes which I quickly got a grasp of, I sat down to watch my first episode of My Little Pony. See now, I'm a big fan of fan reviews and IMDB, therefore, when deciding which episode I wanted to watch, I went for the one that was the highest rated on IMDB, which so happened to be the Season 4 finale.
So here were my thoughts..
- Luna has a great look, she would do well as a heel in the WWE
- Why do these ponies have horns on their head? Something something My Little Unicorn
- Am I seeing a translucent bowl of oranges floating?
- Wow so this Lord Tirek is the heel
- Discord is my spirit animal
- Oh good god who's the pink pony and why when she talks does it sound like she's screaming?
- OH MY GOD IS DISCORD TURNING HEEL!?
- He turned heel, I really hope he puts the ponies over
- That's part 1 over! Time to start the next part
- I'm still a fan of Luna, damn
- Now they're transferring their magic to Twilight, this is all getting a little bit Dragonball Z, something else I'm obsessed with
- Twilight just went Super Saiyan, or Finn Balor with his demon paint
- TIREK JUST DOUBLE-CROSSED DISCORD, BAH GAWD KING HE HAD A WIFE (..no seriously did he?)
- This episode is so Dragonball Z, it's great
- Holy crap they're all rainbowfying, if this was a pro wrestling moment there'd probably be a "this is awesome clap clap clapclapclap chant
- "But what is the princess of friendship without her friends?"
- That was actually a lot of fun! I'll definitely do this again, what episode would you guys recommend?! Although I feel like I should watch Luna Eclipsed next
Oh, by the way, if myself or any of the other /r/squaredcircle exchangees use a term you don't understand, refer to this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_professional_wrestling_terms
Since there are many arty types on here, I was wondering if I could request a picture of Sasha Banks or maybe Shinsuke Nakamura as ponies? It doesn't have to be insanely great quality, it would just make this whole experience even more tremendous
Oh ALSO, we made it to the top story on /r/bestof, this is insane!
See you soon!
/u/Coldcoffees I absolutely loved your breakdown of this episode. I do think that it's worth mentioning that my knowledge of wrestling terminology comes solely from the Mountain Goats' album Beat the Champ, so it's nice to see that music is teaching me something.
(also, the song Heel Turn 2 is worth a listen.)

I'm glad you like it! The whole album is professional wrestling themed. I had to do a lot of reading to know what he was talking about for the most part (it's never been something I've jumped too far into). I highly recommend it. Legend of Chavo Guerrero and Foreign Object are both really catchy.
But now it feels like I'm plugging /r/themountaingoats.
