Hello everyone, and welcome to my base camp at the bottom of Mt. Hiatus. Every year, many climb up and over this mountain in preparation for the new season. This will be the fourth great excursion over the mountain. Every year, more join us. Every year, many leave. I've been through all three of the past trips, so I thought I'd give you some tips in case you're new.
Keep yourself hydrated. There isn't any new content until we reach the other side. Make sure you pack plenty of Fan Content for your journey, and be sure to stop at the springs along the way. I recommend taking up a big reading project, such as Fallout: Equestria, and keeping up to date on big fan projects.
Seek support. The power of friendship is why we are all here. Find friends to support you on the journey. If you can't find any near you, keep in contact via internet.
Don't give up. Through every great panic and cull that usually come with the journey, I've learned to trust the guides. Even if their decision seems strange, they WILL lead you to new content and it WILL still be worth wile. Have a little faith and keep walking.
Any tips you old veterans want to share? Feel free to put them in the comments!
I binge-watched the first 3 seasons as a newly hatched fan of the show through February and March last year and the 8-month hiatus for me was brutal. I had never seen an episode of the show on the air date the same time as everyone else so I was incredibly anxious for season 4.
I think this time will be easier for me since I have been along for the journey through season 4 with this fandom and hopefully will not have to wait 8 months for the next season.
