Maybe I am a bad person for bringing this up in everyone's probably-safe-space given the state of the US but:
What do you think Ferrante was trying to say about leftism and fascism in her books? The characters who were on either extreme side seemed to suffer because of their politics. How did you read the presentation of politics in the story? Politics are a HUGE part of the plot.
