I recently bought a Flame, and I've been having a blast on it. (currently running some variation of 2LrgPls and an Autocannon, having some great success in pugs with it.) When I originally bought the frame I threw in an A/C 10 and I've really liked it so far. But I just recently dropped in an Ultra A/C 5 after comparing the paper stats for the A/C10 and UA/C5.
Does it not seems like the Ultra A/C 5 is just flat out better is almost every way? It weighs less, takes up less slots, has longer range/better projectile speed, generates less heat, and can do more damage overall. and you can nearly get the same burst damage as the A/C 10.
The only major drawback I'm seeing is jamming, but I'm finding it's rarely an issue even without having to use macros and such. As long as I'm thinking about what I'm doing (i.e. not slamming down on the trigger with a lead finger.) I never jam an UA/C 5 unless I intend to.
What am I missing here?
