You Can't Do That by The Beatles from 1:30 to 1:45 Terrible Lie by Nine Inch Nails from 3:25 to 3:45
Apologies, I can't put 2 links in a post. They're in the comments.
I have no music knowledge, so it's hard for me to articulate what I'm hearing. I think it has something to do with the cowbell and it's faster in Terrible Lie?? If you have a suggestion as to what it could be please include an example, as I probably won't understand it off concept alone. Thank you!
If there's a more fitting sub to post this to, please direct me there.
Here's the link to both the songs

I don't really have a good idea of what I think is similar, either. I think I should clarify that when I said something about the cowbell being similar I didn't mean that I thought the two songs had cowbell in them. I meant more abstractly that the similarity was in the same area as the cowbell (maybe something to do with the timing? Whatever the cowbell does for YCDT, there's something that also does that for TL).
I'm trying to find whatever is producing the disorientating/ pleasantly wonky feeling in both the songs. (Also a very vague descriptor - my apologies)
