Workflow - finding the right drum sample
Post Flair (click to view more posts with a particular flair)
Post Body
My process for finding the "right" sample seems incredibly inefficient. My drum VSTs have thousands of samples, and going through them all (even filtering for acoustic / electronic etc) feels like finding a needle in a haystack.
Is there any better way of organizing or choosing drum samples? (Or other patches for that matter.) Do you somehow place samples in a personal folder and annotate them?
Or is the better approach to get more comfortable editing basic samples to suit my needs?
How do you handle this?
