I've been in a part-time household studio and production with a friend of mine who've I've played guitar with for the better parts of a decade. We did all the tracking minus a bass ( because who really owns a bass) which will be done when I go pick one up for this weekends session. I spent tons and tons of time mixing to find a good sound in my car. I understand that my car doesn't translate to everything. I don't currently have monitors, but use my guitar solid state amps for actually recording guitar. While programming drums. The final mix I use my monitoring headphones as well. I came up on was
Intro. Rythm guitar 5 tracks panned from L L50 c R50 5. Drums panned center and are weak in sum spots unsure if it needs gain or EQ. It's has a copy paste feel to it near the center. I believe I can fix it. I plan on trimming sum low end of the guitar and doing the bass L C R Stereo though Ive been told to do it in mono. Track1. Again rthym guitar in mono till bridge then panned hard L R then back to mono after. Track2. Actually hasn't been edited or mixed so I won't etriate. Track3.honestly the best mix in my opinion. Minus sum leads not being strong enough and the solo being really strong.
Would like a critique and possible advice though it may not be used due to me enjoying the exploration of something I have nothing about. Dm me the critique/advice link below thank you https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nGKmMXK6XwZBEAMGnpsdhBgx1Vr6jJV- Rythm guitar mono.
