Happy Monday Fellow Musicians.. new solo artist here.. looking for release strategy advice..
Post Body

Hello all. Hope y'all are having a good Monday so far. So, I'm RYMND, I'm a singer/ songwriter, and I'm looking to release my first song (first one I've released in about 4 years) here in about 6-8 weeks. In the past, I've played with several bands ranging from pop punk, to metal, to indie.. and this is going to be my first 'solo' release (which is more along the lines of LAUV, LANY.. yeah, I know pop music is gross ,right?).

I was just wondering if anyone here had any advice or specific tips to not just reaching an audience, but actually building one from the ground up. I know I have a few fans that have followed me, from my past bands, and other bands I've toured with.. but this is new for me.

With really the only money I've had for my musical journey being spent on gear and mixing/ mastering my songs.. I have zero budget to marketing, promotion, album artwork, etc. So I'm looking to do this ALL my self or possibly find people to help a bro out (of course not too much of a workload though, I don't like freeloading).

If anyone has any advice for releasing a song in 2021, coming up with a simple video (doesn't have to be fancy), album artwork, etc.. I'd really appreciate it! God bless
