Okay I know it’s not my first actual mushroom, but the first time intentionally going out to learn about mushrooms. Found in Colorado, USA!
Here is the A. Xanthorldermus a slightly poisonous shroom, with a broad white cap, slightly scaly and cracking cap with a dip over the stem. Short brown gills, thick stem with a ring near the cap. At first cut this shroom started turning orange, and then pink, and the smell was like an earthy ink. If consumed expect diarrhea and gastronal discomfort. I don’t know if this is lethal though, so don’t bet on this shroom for food! Regardless.
