First and foremost when it comes to nail care- is lifestyle

I workout regularly, I eat clean- loads of fresh fruit and veggies , I don't consume alcohol EVER,nor caffeine . I drink water and the occasional fruit juice.

The second thing i believe is keeping it as natural as you can ...

I take an evening primrose oil supplement every day, which has vitamin a and e in it - called primeve plus

I paint my nails at least once a week , to make sure they are always protected, and I never skip using a base coat - I use one from essence .it's cheap and does the trick (I live in Africa so I don't know how widely available the products I use are)

In between manicures (when I take my old polish off) I allow my nails to stay polish free for a few hours and oil my hands and nails in that time

I use a homemade cannabis oil to do this, that has rosemary lavender and calendula essential oils added to it - I thank the cannabis oil for making sure my nails don't get porous . It is an incredible plant with extensive health benefits .

I will only use a TRIND brand glass nail file. This is non negotiable - other nail files lead to peeling for me.

When I have household or garden chores to do I always wear gloves, but never for more than about an hour at a time - I give my hands a break from being in gloves should I need to use them.

Every morning & evening I rub the remainder of my skincare products onto My hands and nails . When I get into bed I coat my hands in homemade beeswwax hand cream - made of olive oil ,beeswax and coconut oil

I am not a nail tech or anything of the sorts, but I do know what works for me I've been taking care of my nails like this for years.
