Curious how others respond to group tasks

Did a task today about taking produce to a market and one paid double but had the chance to lose some produce. I voted to go to the one with risk that paid more, but apparently the group voted for the other so our bonus was lower. I also tend to evenly split payment if I get the tasks that ask you to divide payment between you and another turker even though I get a lower bonus. I know some of these might be you against bots, but what do you guys tend to do?
