Possible stupid question about +1/+1 effects...

I apologize if this comes off as dumb but I am unsure and want to get some clarification. If I have [[Solemnity]], does that effect cards such as [[Helm of the Gods]] or [[Spear of Helios]]? Those cards don't really apply counters but rather a blanket effect. Thanks in advance.
