Gwendlyn price spike?

I was going back through some of my cards searching for a commander. I settled upon Gwendlyn Di Corci. When I went on EDHRec, I noticed that the Card Kingdom price was almost $400. After a little bit of research, I found that her price went up to $500 on August 8th, and has since, seemingly, stabilized around $380. Is this just due to the pandemic, or am I missing something? I was under the impression that expensive cards would've gone down, not up.
