Iām sorry in advance if this comes across as just annoying whining, but Iāve been seeing so many people online complaining about Bloomburrow and calling it an awful set and saying magic is doomed because itās so low power and blah blah blah. When I tried to explain to one of these people how standard rotation works and why some standard sets are intended to be lower power, he just said āwho cares about standard? There are almost no commander playable cards in the set and buying a box is basically guaranteed to lose you value.ā I just hate this mindset and as a longtime player of all kinds of formats (including some commander), it just irks me. If you want commander cards, look at commander products. If you want value, invest in singles. I realize that commander has become the ādefault formatā in many ways, but I was really looking forward to Bloomburrow being a breath of fresh air in terms of design and power creep, and it sucks that that just doesnāt seem like enough for a lot of people.
