Rant: Commander players who complain about non-commander product.
Post Body

Iā€™m sorry in advance if this comes across as just annoying whining, but Iā€™ve been seeing so many people online complaining about Bloomburrow and calling it an awful set and saying magic is doomed because itā€™s so low power and blah blah blah. When I tried to explain to one of these people how standard rotation works and why some standard sets are intended to be lower power, he just said ā€œwho cares about standard? There are almost no commander playable cards in the set and buying a box is basically guaranteed to lose you value.ā€ I just hate this mindset and as a longtime player of all kinds of formats (including some commander), it just irks me. If you want commander cards, look at commander products. If you want value, invest in singles. I realize that commander has become the ā€œdefault formatā€ in many ways, but I was really looking forward to Bloomburrow being a breath of fresh air in terms of design and power creep, and it sucks that that just doesnā€™t seem like enough for a lot of people.
