New player question on poison deck

I got the corrupted influence precon deck from my LGS and I was wondering if it’s a decent deck to play casual commander with? Is poison as hated as something like slivers? I got the deck mostly because I thought the commander looked cool. Eventually I want to make a tribal angel deck but lack the deck building knowledge. My knowledge is very limited as I’ve only been playing the arena game for like a week and haven’t played any commander yet. Thank you
